A 65-year-old woman from Lake County sustained injuries after being struck by a car at the intersection of East Gobbi Street and South Orchard Avenue in Ukiah on Monday afternoon, December 16, 2024.
According to the Ukiah Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 1:15 p.m., where California Highway Patrol officers were already tending to the injured pedestrian in the roadway. MedStar Ambulance and Ukiah Valley Fire Authority also assisted at the scene.
The injured woman was initially transported to a local hospital but later transferred to an out-of-area hospital for advanced medical treatment. Her condition has not been disclosed.
While the UPD continued to investigate the cause of the crash, authorities confirmed that drugs and alcohol were not suspected factors.
