[12-14-2025] Pedestrian Killed in Suspected Hit-and-Run on State Route 111 in Palm SpringsA pedestrian was killed in a suspected hit-and-run collision on state Route 111 between Tipton and Snow Creek roads in Palm Springs on Sunday morning, December 14, 2025.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department, officers responded around 10:40 a.m. to reports of a deceased person on the side of the roadway. 

Authorities said a bicyclist traveling through the area reported seeing an individual along the road. Officers arrived and confirmed the person was deceased. Investigators believe the involved vehicle left the scene before police arrived. The victim’s identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.

Police stated that the suspect vehicle was believed to be white and may have sustained front-end or front passenger-side damage, including possible damage to the headlights. 

The exact time of the collision was not immediately known. Northbound Highway 111 at Tipton Road was temporarily closed during the investigation and reopened shortly before 4:00 p.m.
