At least one person was injured after a crash involving two semitrailers on the northbound side of the 15 Freeway near Kenwood Avenue in Devore, San Bernardino, on Saturday afternoon, December 13, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. and resulted in both big rigs and a nearby utility pole becoming engulfed in flames.
Authorities said one of the trucks overturned in the crash. The fire spread to nearby brush, burning approximately five acres and briefly threatening nearby structures. A SigAlert was issued, and the northbound lanes of the freeway were closed as emergency crews responded.
Cal Fire and San Bernardino County firefighters arrived at the scene and worked to contain the blaze. Officials reported that the forward progress of the fire was stopped at approximately 1:32 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
