A 71-year-old pedestrian sustained severe injuries after a hit-and-run collision involving a white Ford F-150 in Koreatown, Los Angeles, on Friday evening, December 13, 2024.
The incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. on New Hampshire Avenue, south of Eighth Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The pedestrian was standing beside his vehicle in the southbound lane when the driver of the pickup truck struck him and fled the scene without stopping to render aid. The suspect was last seen traveling westbound on James M. Wood Boulevard from New Hampshire Avenue.
Emergency responders from the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the victim to a hospital for medical treatment.
The City of Los Angeles is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
