[12-10-2025] Major-Injury Crash Involving Semi-Truck and Box Truck Closes SR-20A major-injury crash involving a semi-truck and a box truck shut down State Route 20 for several hours east of State Route 16 in Colusa County on Wednesday morning, December 10, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 6:40 a.m. after an SOS alert was transmitted from an Apple device. 

The two trucks collided head-on, blocking both lanes of SR-20. One person sustained major injuries while another suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

Officials noted that one of the trucks was hauling approximately 15,000 pounds of lumber, requiring heavy wreckers to assist with removal. By 8 a.m., traffic was reduced to one-way control as crews continued clearing the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
