One person was seriously injured after a head-on crash at the intersection of Warren Road and South Burson Road north of Highway 26 in the Burson area of Calaveras County on Tuesday evening, December 2, 2025.
According to Calaveras Consolidated Fire, first responders arrived to find two heavily damaged vehicles, including an SUV with major front-end damage on the driver’s side.
Fluids had leaked onto the roadway and required cleanup before crews could clear the scene. CHP officers directed traffic for about an hour while a tow company removed the wreckage.
Calaveras Consolidated Fire reported that one victim was airlifted to a Valley hospital with serious injuries. CHP’s San Andreas Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
