A 63-year-old Turlock man was struck and killed in a collision at Golden State Boulevard and Golf Road in Turlock on Monday night, December 2, 2024.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the crash at 7:36 p.m. and found the man, later identified as David B. of Turlock, lying in the roadway. Despite being transported to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation by the CHP suggests that the man ran east from the west shoulder directly into the path of a northbound 2021 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Duraye K., also a Turlock resident.
The driver, who was not injured and showed no signs of intoxication, remained at the scene and identified himself as the driver of the vehicle involved.
The investigation is ongoing.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
