One person sustained critical injuries and was airlifted after a head-on collision on Highway 395 in Hesperia early Friday morning, November 29, 2024.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. between Poplar Street and Main Street and involved a gold Toyota Camry and a gray Mitsubishi Mirage. Both vehicles suffered significant front-end damage and came to rest in the northbound lane.
San Bernardino County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and confirmed two people were injured. One patient sustained critical injuries and was transported by a Mercy Air helicopter to a regional trauma center. The second patient was treated for minor injuries and taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Hesperia Police Department.
