According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, emergency crews were dispatched at around 4:25 a.m. on Grant Line Road and Chrysanthy Boulevard north of Kiefer Boulevard.

The crash involved two vehicles. A woman and a man were transported to nearby hospitals with injuries, while one individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision, and no further details have been released at this time.
