[11-27-2024] One Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle Collision on Route 86 in ThermalA person was hospitalized with a pain complaint after a two-vehicle crash in Thermal, Riverside County, on Wednesday afternoon, November 27, 2024.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer David Torres, the crash was reported shortly after noon on Route 86 and 62nd Avenue and involved a Toyota Camry and a Ford Focus.

Preliminary investigations suggest that one of the vehicles allegedly ran a red light and struck another vehicle traveling southbound.

Approximately 30 minutes after the crash, one person was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. The condition of the victim remains unclear at this time.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision. Further updates have not yet been released.
