A three-vehicle collision on Ascot Parkway near Sterling Street in Vallejo left one person dead and three others injured on Monday afternoon, November 25, 2024.
According to Vallejo police, the crash occurred around 4:46 p.m. when a 2004 gray Toyota Solara traveling northbound crossed the center median and collided with a 2009 white Chevy Traverse heading southbound. The force of the collision caused the Traverse to strike a 1992 blue Nissan Sentra, also traveling southbound.
A passenger in the Toyota was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff/Coroner’s Office.
The Toyota driver and two occupants of the Traverse, including a juvenile passenger, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The three occupants of the Sentra declined medical attention and were released from the scene.
Police stated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
