[11-25-2024] One Killed After Multi-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway in TustinA fatal multi-vehicle crash involving an overturned SUV shut down several northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway in Tustin on Monday morning, November 25, 2024.

The collision was reported shortly after 3:00 a.m. near Tustin Ranch Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. 

Authorities stated that an SUV crashed into the concrete center divider, overturning and bursting into flames. Debris from the crash spread across multiple lanes, including the southbound side of the freeway. At least one person was confirmed dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time.
