[11-23-2024] One Killed, Two Injured After Fiery Two-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway in VictorvilleA man was killed, and two others sustained minor injuries following a fiery two-vehicle collision on the northbound 15 Freeway in Victorville on Saturday afternoon, November 23, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department, the crash occurred just before 4:10 p.m. south of Nisqualli Road. 

Initial reports indicated that a sedan veered over a cement barrier from southbound Mariposa Road and collided head-on with an SUV on the freeway.

The collision involved a blue Audi GTRS that reportedly struck a curb on Mariposa Road near Cottonwood Avenue, launching onto the freeway and colliding with a gray Nissan Pathfinder. One of the vehicles caught fire, and firefighters had to free an individual from the wreckage.

The driver of the Audi succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His identity is pending confirmation and notification of next of kin by coroner officials. The driver of the Nissan and a passenger were treated for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, and no further details are currently available.
