[11-23-2024] Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on San Bernardino Freeway in El MonteA pedestrian was killed after being struck by a black Hyundai on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in El Monte early Saturday morning, November 23, 2024.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the incident at approximately 4:12 a.m. to the eastbound freeway and the Peck Road on-ramp. 

According to CHP Officer Sergio Garcia, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The pedestrian’s identity, including name, age, and gender, has not been released pending notification of relatives.

The incident remains under investigation.
