A pickup driver sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash involving a Tesla Cybertruck and two other vehicles in Buena Park on Friday evening, November 22, 2024.
The collision was reported at approximately 7:22 p.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway Beach Boulevard exit.
According to preliminary information, a white Chevy pickup rear-ended a Tesla Cybertruck, pushing it into a van and an Infiniti.
First responders arrived on the scene and extricated the driver of the heavily damaged Chevy pickup. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. The Tesla Cybertruck sustained rear-end and minor front-end damage, while the extent of the damage to the other two vehicles remains unclear.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the collision, including reports that the pickup driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
