According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, paramedics were dispatched to the 400 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, near Figueroa Street, shortly after 4:25 p.m. in response to a collision involving the skateboarder.

The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity, pending notification of his family.

The circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear, and the Los Angeles Police Department is conducting an investigation into the fatal incident.
