A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on northbound state Route 67 near Dye Road in Ramona, San Diego County, on Wednesday afternoon, November 13, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 31-year-old man was riding a Harley Davidson when he collided with the rear of a Range Rover at approximately 12:55 p.m.
The rider and his 31-year-old passenger, both Chula Vista residents, were ejected from the motorcycle. The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene from fatal injuries, while the rider sustained moderate injuries. The 69-year-old driver of the Range Rover, a man from Thermal, was uninjured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and it is not yet clear if drugs or alcohol were factors.
