One person was critically injured and airlifted, and several others were injured after an SUV overturned in Phelan, San Bernardino County, on Saturday afternoon, November 9, 2024.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the crash occurred at around 1:52 p.m. on Sheep Creek Road, near Cactus Road.
Authorities stated that the vehicle experienced a blowout and overturned, coming to rest off the roadway in the desert. Emergency personnel located the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer with major damage.
One person was ejected during the crash, and firefighters requested a medical helicopter and three ambulances to respond to the scene.
The critically injured person was airlifted to a trauma center, and at least three others were transported via ground ambulances to local hospitals.
CHP officers from Victorville are investigating the cause of the collision.
