Three people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a pickup truck overturned in Phelan, San Bernardino County, on Friday, November 8, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 6:27 p.m. when a dark gray Toyota Tacoma, carrying six occupants, was traveling westbound on Phelan Road, east of Aster Road. The truck left the roadway, descended into a ravine on the north side, and ultimately landed on its side.
San Bernardino County Fire units responded to the scene and found all six occupants still inside the overturned vehicle. Firefighters assisted the individuals in exiting the truck. Three of the occupants were transported by ground ambulances to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Initially, the crash was investigated as a potential hit-and-run; however, further investigation revealed that another truck was involved, but it was not classified as a hit-and-run.
