Six people sustained minor injuries following a five-vehicle collision that blocked Bowman Road near Adams Road in Shasta County on Wednesday afternoon, November 6, 2024.
According to the Red Bluff office of the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at around 2:38 p.m. when a Dodge Ram 3500 collided with several stopped vehicles on Bowman Road.
The stopped vehicles, including a Ford Escape, Kia Soul, Lincoln MKZ, and Chevrolet Impala, were waiting due to a road closure by Pacific Gas & Electric work crews.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, reportedly traveling eastbound at approximately 40 mph, diverted their attention momentarily, failing to notice the stopped traffic ahead and causing a chain reaction collision. Two individuals from the Lincoln MKZ were transported to a local hospital for further treatment, while others received minor injuries at the scene.
Bowman Road was closed for just over an hour as emergency responders cleared the area, reopening around 3:42 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
