[11-04-2024] Bicyclist Killed After Collision with Vehicle on Highway 175A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle along Highway 175 near Middletown, Lake County, on Monday evening, November 4, 2024.

The crash occurred shortly after 5:00 p.m., according to radio reports and the California Highway Patrol’s online logs.

Fire units were dispatched to the scene at 5:12 p.m. for a possible fatality. Despite attempts to resuscitate the bicyclist, he was declared dead shortly after paramedics arrived.

The CHP reported that Highway 175 at the Dry Creek Cutoff was closed until nearly 8 p.m. while the investigation into the collision was conducted.
