A pedestrian was killed after being struck by two vehicles while crossing outside a crosswalk in the Vermont Square area of Los Angeles late Sunday night, November 3, 2024.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Western Avenue at 41st Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities reported that a woman, believed to be around 25 years old, was initially hit by a northbound vehicle on Western Avenue. The impact propelled her into the southbound lanes, where a second vehicle struck her.
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
