[11-03-2024] 18-Year-Old Driver Killed, Woman Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 41An 18-year-old man was killed, and a 34-year-old woman was injured after a two-vehicle crash in Fresno County on Sunday evening, November 3, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 41 and Mountain View Avenue.

Authorities stated that the 18-year-old was driving a Camaro at high speed northbound on Highway 41 when he ran a red light and collided with a Nissan SUV occupied by the 34-year-old woman and two children.

The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, while the two children were reportedly unharmed.

Investigators said the Camaro also hit a light pole after the impact, splitting the vehicle in two. Authorities are examining whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.

A section of Highway 41 and Mountain View Avenue was closed as authorities investigated the scene.
