[11-02-2024] Pedestrian Killed After Hit-And-Run Collision in Long BeachA pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Long Beach on Saturday night, November 2, 2024.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded to the scene at Anaheim Street and Orange Avenue around 11:00 p.m. 

Upon arrival, they found the male pedestrian in the roadway, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the pedestrian was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a newer model Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Anaheim Street. The driver fled the scene following the collision.
