[10-29-2024] Woman Severely Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle While Walking Dog in Hillsdale NeighborhoodA woman sustained severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking her dog in San Mateo’s Hillsdale neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon, October 29, 2024. 

According to the San Mateo Police Department, the crash occurred around 4:00 p.m. on 28th Avenue near Sunset Terrace.

The injured pedestrian was quickly transported to a local trauma center, while her dog, also injured in the collision, was taken to a veterinarian in a patrol car. 

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No injuries to the driver were reported.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
