[10-29-2024] Man Killed After Motorcycle Vs. Car Collision on North State Street in UkiahA 36-year-old man was killed after a motorcycle vs. car collision in Ukiah on Tuesday afternoon, October 29, 2024.

According to the Ukiah Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Clara Avenue and North State Street at 3:38 p.m. following reports of the collision. 

Emergency personnel from MedStar Ambulance and the Ukiah Valley Fire Authority arrived at the scene shortly after.

The officers found a Mini Cooper with significant front-end damage in the intersection and the motorcycle located to the north of the vehicle. The rider, identified as Jessie H., was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mini Cooper, an 18-year-old woman from Ukiah, sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Ukiah Police Department’s traffic officer is conducting an investigation into the incident, and personnel from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office are handling the coroner’s investigation.
