A semi-truck and a small black vehicle collided on southbound Interstate 15 near Old Highway 395 in San Diego County, early Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 6:57 a.m. at the Old Highway 395 on-ramp. A semi-truck pulling a two-axle trailer and a small black vehicle were involved. The smaller vehicle sustained front-end damage.
Initial reports indicated a possible party trapped in one of the vehicles, prompting a response from Cal Fire and North County Fire. However, a later update confirmed that both vehicles were on the right shoulder, and no major injuries were reported.
Tow trucks were requested for both vehicles, and the collision caused traffic to slow through the area during the morning commute.
The investigation is ongoing.
