One person was pulled from the wreckage of his car after a two-car crash on southbound Interstate 680 in Walnut Creek on Sunday evening, October 27, 2024.
According to authorities, at around 5:38 p.m., two vehicles, one believed to be a gray Tesla sedan, collided north of the N. Main exit.
This crash led to a secondary collision involving another car and a Toyota SUV, which veered off the freeway. The impact caused a light pole to topple, and one of the vehicles burst into flames.
The flames spread into the adjacent vegetation, igniting a fire in the trees and brush along the freeway, with visible secondary explosions captured in video footage of the incident.
The unidentified motorist was extricated and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of possible burn injuries. The right-hand “slow” lanes of the freeway were closed to accommodate emergency response teams, but traffic was able to proceed past the scene.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
