A 25-year-old male motorcyclist was killed after a head-on crash involving a sedan in Los Angeles’ Westlake District late Friday night, October 25, 2024.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division responded to the crash around 11:46 p.m. at the intersection of South Bixel Street and Wilshire Boulevard.
According to an LAPD spokesperson, a 59-year-old driver was traveling northbound on Bixel when he collided head-on with the motorcyclist.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The driver remained at the location and cooperated with police.
The LAPD’s Central Traffic Division has taken charge of the investigation into the fatal collision.
