A male bicyclist was struck and killed by an SUV on northbound Interstate 880 in Oakland on Friday night, October 25, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 8:21 p.m., leading authorities to shut down all northbound lanes on I-880 and divert traffic to 7th Street.
The CHP advised motorists to expect delays and noted that there was no estimated time for reopening the freeway.
