[10-24-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Man Killed In Hit-and-Run Crash in South LA

A 66-year-old man was fatally injured in a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred at around 3:45 p.m. when a gray four-door sedan struck the pedestrian while turning out of a gas station on West Manchester Avenue.

Police said the driver continued westbound until bystanders flagged him down and told him he had struck someone.

The driver returned and remained until the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived. However, he left before officers reached the scene and did not provide his information, according to police.

Paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been publicly released.

Police are searching for the driver. A reward of up to $50,000 may be available for information leading to the suspect’s identification, arrest, and conviction through the city’s Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund.
