A 33-year-old Westminster man died in a motorcycle collision with a vehicle in Huntington Beach on Wednesday morning, October 21, 2026.
According to Huntington Beach Police Department public affairs officer Jessica Cuchilla, the crash occurred at around 5:30 a.m. at Newland Street and Talbert Avenue.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the man was riding a red Kawasaki southbound on Newland Street, north of Talbert Avenue, when the motorcycle struck the rear of a white Volkswagen Tiguan.
Officers arrived to find the rider lying in the street. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The Volkswagen driver, a 57-year-old Garden Grove man, was uninjured and remained at the scene. He cooperated with investigators, and impairment did not appear to be a factor for him.
Whether impairment contributed on the motorcyclist’s part was unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
