According to the San Diego Police Department, officers received a call around 7:22 a.m. regarding a crash near Lake Badin Avenue and Jackson Drive.
The children, all 12 years old, were walking to Pershing Middle School when they were hit by an eastbound vehicle while crossing Jackson Drive. Two of the victims sustained major injuries, while the third had no obvious injuries. All three were taken to Rady Children’s Hospital, where the boy later died.
Police said the driver, a man in his 30s, remained at the scene and attempted to render aid while waiting for emergency responders. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident and have notified the families of the children.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
