[10-19-2024] Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Boyle Heights at Fourth and Chicago StreetsA pedestrian was killed following a crash in the Boyle Heights area of Los Angeles on Saturday evening, October 19, 2024.

According to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Norma Eisenman, the incident occurred just before 7:00 p.m. at the intersection of Fourth and Chicago streets. 

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver, who was operating a white Honda, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No further details regarding the cause of the crash were immediately available.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
