A speeding driver and his passenger were killed in a head-on collision with another car near Baseline Street and McKinley Avenue in Highland on Wednesday afternoon, October 15, 2025.
According to the Highland Police Department, the crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. when a gray Infiniti G35 was traveling the wrong way at a high rate of speed and collided with a gray Mazda 3.
The driver of the Mazda sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the Infiniti, a 24-year-old man from Highland, and his 21-year-old female passenger from San Bernardino were both killed.
The Mazda driver had two dogs in the car at the time of the crash. The dogs died at the scene, and Animal Control removed their remains. Debris from the crash also struck a nearby car, causing minor damage.
The collision is under investigation.
