[10-13-2025] Two Killed in Crash Involving Unlicensed Juvenile Driver at Avenue 16 and Road 23Two adults were killed in a crash at the intersection of Avenue 16 and Road 23 in Madera on Monday morning, October 13, 2025.

According to the Madera Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 5:57 a.m. They found a male juvenile standing outside one vehicle and two adults trapped inside another vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts from officers and emergency personnel, the two adults were pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the juvenile, unlicensed and traveling eastbound on Avenue 16 with his headlights off, failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the vehicle occupied by the two adults.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision. The names of those involved are being withheld pending family notification.

The investigation is ongoing.
