The California Highway Patrol reported the collision at around 5:20 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near Sherman Way. 

Firefighters and paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived on scene shortly after but transported no one to the hospital.

Authorities issued a Sigalert at 5:59 a.m., closing all northbound lanes at Sherman Way for approximately two hours to facilitate the investigation.
