A 60-year-old man was fatally injured, and two others were hurt in a head-on collision at an intersection in Moreno Valley on Wednesday night, October 9, 2024.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Jay B. of Moreno Valley was driving on Ironwood Avenue near Helga Lane shortly after 9:00 p.m. when his vehicle reportedly crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with a car traveling in the opposite direction.
Authorities have not yet clarified which vehicle was heading east or west. County fire department paramedics arrived minutes after the collision and pronounced Jay B dead at the scene.
The two individuals in the other vehicle were transported to Riverside University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the factors leading to the crash.
