[10-09-2024] Pedestrian Killed by Semi-Truck on Highway 99 near McKinley AvenueA man was fatally struck by a semi-truck while walking unclothed on Highway 99 near McKinley Avenue in Fresno early Wednesday morning, October 9, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers received initial reports of a naked man walking in the freeway lanes. 

Shortly afterward, they were alerted that the man had been hit by a Peterbilt semi-truck. Upon arrival, CHP officers found the man near the center divider, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The semi-truck driver remained at the location and cooperated with authorities. CHP officials confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the incident. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
