A woman was critically injured after crashing her motorcycle in the Midway neighborhood of San Diego on Tuesday evening, October 8, 2024.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the 33-year-old rider was traveling eastbound in the 3100 block of Midway Drive around 8:30 p.m. on a 2013 Honda Repsol CBR 600RR when she struck a raised concrete center island in the roadway, causing her to be ejected from the motorcycle.
The motorcycle then slid into the westbound lanes, colliding with a 2019 silver Dodge Grand Caravan driven by a 20-year-old man and subsequently hitting a 2018 gray Toyota RAV4 driven by a 32-year-old man. Fortunately, neither of the drivers in the vehicles sustained injuries.
The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries, including a collapsed lung, fractured collarbone, multiple rib fractures, and lacerations to her liver and spleen. Her injuries are considered life-threatening.
The San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division is investigating the incident, and officials have confirmed that DUI was not a factor in the crash.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
