[10-07-2024] Elderly Woman Dies After Being Hit by Pickup Truck on Franklin BoulevardAn elderly woman was killed after being struck by a pickup truck along the 7100 block of Franklin Boulevard in Sacramento on Monday evening, October 7, 2024. 

The collision occurred shortly after 7:00 p.m. when a Ford F150 hit the pedestrian, identified only as an elderly Hispanic woman. 

The victim sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

According to the California Highway Patrol, alcohol is not considered a factor in the incident. The driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
