[10-05-2026] Imperial County, CA – 29-Year-Old Woman Killed in Collision Involving Semi-Truck in El Centro

A 29-year-old woman from Brawley was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck in El Centro on Monday morning, October 5, 2026.

According to the El Centro Police Department, the crash occurred at around 8:00 a.m. in the 1000 block of East Main Street.

Responding officers found a severely damaged silver Nissan Murano trapped beneath the trailer of a semi-truck.

Emergency medical personnel arrived and pronounced the woman dead at the scene. She was the sole occupant of the Nissan. Authorities withheld her name pending notification of her family.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the semi-truck was exiting a driveway and attempting to turn eastbound onto East Main Street when it collided with the Nissan, which was traveling westbound in the inside lane.

The semi-truck driver was not injured. The investigation remains ongoing.
