[10-04-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Box Truck in Adelanto

An adult male pedestrian was killed after being struck by a box truck in Adelanto early Sunday morning, October 4, 2026.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the incident at around 12:07 a.m. on Air Expressway east of Jonathan Street.

Deputies found the man lying in the roadway and provided aid until fire personnel arrived. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The box truck driver stopped at the intersection of Air Expressway and Adelanto Road. Deputies contacted the driver, who remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Authorities had not released the pedestrian’s identity or additional information about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
