[09-30-2026] Fresno County, CA – Woman Killed in Suspected DUI Hit-and-Run Crash on Central and Elm Ave.

A woman was killed in a suspected DUI hit-and-run crash in Fresno County early Wednesday morning, September 30, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers found the woman’s body on the right shoulder in the area of Central and Elm shortly before 5:00 a.m.

CHP investigators believe the incident occurred approximately two hours before the woman was found.

Authorities later located the suspected driver at a residence in Easton and took him into custody. The woman’s identity was not immediately released.

Officers continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the fatal crash.
