A man riding a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja was killed after colliding with a 2015 Toyota Tacoma near Porterville on Tuesday morning, September 30, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:05 a.m. The motorcycle rider was traveling westbound on Avenue 160, approaching Elm Street, when the Tacoma, driven by a 64-year-old man, made a left turn onto Avenue 160 without yielding the right-of-way. The Kawasaki struck the Toyota, and the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Toyota driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to Sierra View District Hospital. The identity of the deceased motorcycle rider has not been officially released.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
