A 51-year-old female bicyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Huntington Beach early Monday morning, September 30, 2024.
According to Huntington Beach police, Elias G. of Orange was behind the wheel of a gray 2023 Ford Bronco when he struck the victim just after midnight at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Glencoe Drive.
The bicyclist was traveling southbound in the far right lane on Beach Boulevard when she was hit from behind. Following the collision, the suspect fled the scene.
Police arrested the suspect later, charging him with driving under the influence of alcohol causing great bodily injury and second-degree murder. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
