A 22-year-old man was struck and killed after a hit-and-run DUI crash in Yuba County on Sunday night, September 29, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, around 8:30 p.m., officers found Joshua B. lying unresponsive in the roadway of Feather River Boulevard, south of Algodon Road, about three miles west of Plumas Lake.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene and indicated that the pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
CHP reported that there were no witnesses to the crash, and the vehicle involved fled the scene. Alcohol is considered a factor in the incident.
