[09-28-2023] Monterey County, CA – One Died, Children Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision Near Marina

One person died, and children were injured in a two-vehicle collision near Marina on Thursday morning, September 28, 2023.

Around 6:45 a.m., the California Highway Patrol was notified about a collision between two vehicles on Cooper Road, east of Marina.

The authorities confirmed that children in one of the vehicles sustained injuries, while those in the other were unharmed.

The CHP reported that shortly after 7:00 a.m., one of three patients was transported by helicopter to a hospital. Approximately ten minutes later, the police confirmed a fatality in the accident.

Other information about the fatal collision was not disclosed. Currently, an investigation into the incident is being conducted.
