A 31-year-old man from Oakdale was killed in a suspected DUI collision outside Oakdale on Saturday night, September 27, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol Modesto office, the crash occurred around 8:50 p.m. on Albers Road south of Valk Road.
The man was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck southbound when he made an unsafe left turn and collided with a northbound semi-truck. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
The impact caused the semi-truck to turn left and collide with a Honda Accord traveling behind the Chevrolet pickup. Neither the semi-truck nor the Honda drivers were injured. All occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The Modesto Fire Department also responded to the scene.
