[09-27-2023] Fresno County, CA – Unhoused Man Seriously Injured After Train Collision in Fresno

An unhoused man was seriously injured after being struck by a train in Fresno on Wednesday evening, September 27, 2023.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the collision happened around 8 p.m. at Clinton and College avenues.

Reports indicated the victim was among a group of unhoused people near the tracks when a fight began. The train may have struck him unintentionally.

The victim was stabilized before he was transported to a nearby hospital. No further details were available about his current condition.

It was also reported that previous fatal crashes have occurred near the Maroa-and-Clinton intersection. The authorities have not released further information about the collision.
